Welcome

Welcome to my Ideal Phone Setup site. This site is dedicated in what I would do if I had the financial resources to acquire all of the telephone numbers I would want. While getting a telephone number is not that hard – getting a particular telephone number is much trickier. Most likely, someone already owns the telephone numbers I would want, and I will literally have to buy the telephone numbers off of them. This will require involvement of an arbitrator to make sure everyone does everything the right way to get what they want. It would also mean I will have to be prepared to move the number immediately. I would choose an announcement only service to inform the callers that the number has been transferred to me, and to contact the previous owner through other means.

The most important aspect is the telephone numbers. I already have 2 of the telephone numbers noted here. All of the numbers I will want will end in 6829751. This means I just have to remember the first 3 digits and which digits goes where. When referencing the number in question, I will note the type of number it is such a “Home”, or “Voicemail”. If I do have to reference a number, it will be the first 3 digits, or first 3 digits followed by (my-number). An example will be 412(my-number).

There will be a need for a telephony server. This will be the most cost effective solution for what I would want to do. The server will be a FreePBX telephony server with the Fax Pro software. This server, and the appropriate plugin will allow me to merge my faxes, and voicemails into one telephone number. Since there are no FXS ports, there will be no telephone line running from the device to the server. This is fine since my residence will not have any RJ11 jacks. If I need to work with an RJ11 port, I will use an ATA. An example will be the printer’s RJ11 port plugging into an ATA for outgoing faxes. For my home phone, I will use a Grandstream WP825.

Then there are carriers. There will be just 2, and the goal was to have as few carriers as needed since every carrier will have their own voicemail system I will have to check. The Cell carrier will handle my iPhone, and SIP carrier will handle all of the other lines. The telephony server will handle the voicemail for the Forwarder, Home, and Voicemail.

Going throughout this site should give you an idea of what I would do, and what I can accomplish. The goal again will be to have something simplified, and easy to remember. No point in having a telephone number if you can’t remember it when it comes time to give out the number. By having all 4 numbers ending in 6829751, this will make things much easier. If you should have any questions, you can feel free to [contact] me.
