SIP

The SIP service provider will offer a number of features to make it easy and convenient. I will be able to have all 4 of my SIP numbers on this one account with the Fax line not interconnected with the voicemail of the other numbers. The carrier will charge $20 per month for unlimited calls to Canada, and the United States. Since all of my numbers will share the incoming rates which is unlimited, and I will only display 1 telephone number when making an outgoing call. The Fax will be a separate line making the call, but will share the $20 unlimited outgoing calls. Each number will have a monthly fee, and this monthly fee is in addition to the calling plan.

The service supports voicemail, and it would be a simple fact of connecting the voicemail access code into the WP825 which that is already done. The service line will allow me to dial *86, and that will log me into the voicemail. The voicemail service will support my forwarding number, my home number, and the voicemail number. This will reduce the number of voicemail boxes I will have to check, and as mentioned, my voicemail is simple. For the SIP service, I will use my Grandstream WP825 as my home phone.

In addition, there will be a fax line. I will set up the system to where the SIP provider will intercept incoming faxes, and send them to me as a .pdf file. For sending faxes, I will use my printer, and connect it to an ATA, and from the ATA, it will plug into the LAN. This will give me the best solution for both receiving and sending faxes.
