For the rationale of this website, a carrier is a telephone service provider. In Allegheny County, Verizon no longer provide POTS telephone service to new or moving customers. That would be fine as back in 1991, prices were higher than I would have wanted, and I am sure that still holds true. I am not going to disclose the carriers by name. This is because I am paranoid about someone maybe finding out who my current carriers are. With that in mind, I will be noting a description of the carrier’s capabilities rather than a name.
