The VOIP line is technically a SIP provider, but they do not offer any SIP addresses. They however will support the open SIP standards, and therefore the WP825 will be able to add the account to the phone. The VOIP Line will provide for unlimited incoming minutes, and unlimited outgoing minutes to select countries including Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, and the United States to name a few countries that are unlimited outgoing calls. The service will also have voicemail support which I couldn’t discern any quantity conditions. Unlike the SIP options which sends just the recording, the VOIP provider does a recording, and transcriptions. I am usually home, so I don’t see the voicemail service being overused.
The Home line is the phone number that would be used for SIP-1 on the WP825. This will mean that not only will I receive incoming calls, but any outgoing calls will use this line to make the call. This means the Home number will show up on the recipeient’s Caller ID screen. As mentioned in the Home Number page, the only difference between this number, and the SIM-1 is the third digit of the telephone numbers. This similarity will work in my favor.
