One might have questions about the cost of services. Considering that I would be using 3 service providers, I will have 3 bills. I wanted to keep cost as reasonable as possible. I would assume that I will be wealthy enough to use any company (even the most expensive ones), but there is no point in that if I can use just as good of service providers. The costs are as follows:
- 412: $30/30 day cycle
- 413: $10/month
- 724: $6/month + outgoing rates
- 814: $6/month
- 855: $4/month + incoming rates + forwarding rates
- 878: $10/30 day cycle
The 412 and 878 numbers are based on a 30 day billing cycle as opposed to one month. With a 30 day cycle, I lose 1 day anytime there are 31 days which there are more than half of the months are 31 day cycle. This higher cost with the 412 number is due to data services that would be provided for the iPhone. The 878 number only needs voice, and SMS. Any data usage will be done on the 412 line.
The 413 number will be the home phone line. The $10/month is for unlimited incoming calls, and unlimited outgoing calls to a select number of countries including the US, and Canada. This will meet the needs of the home phone line, and will allow me to make and receive calls on the SIP-1 line of the WP825.
The SIP provider has a feature where you can have sub-accounts. For my needs, there will be the main account, and 1 sub-account. The main account will handle SIP Broker calls, and SIP Address calls. The voicemail box of the main account will be voicemail for the 814, and 855 numbers. All voicemail will be emailed to me so I won’t have to worry about how to log into the voicemail service since the WP825 is limited with making calls on the SIP-2 line. There will be 1 sub-account exclusively for faxes. Incoming faxes will be intercepted by the service, and converted into a .pdf to send via email. The sub-account will be used to send outgoing faxes when using the ATA. Voicemail for this box will be useless since it will be a fax only line.
