Welcome

Welcome to my Ideal Phone Setup site. This site is dedicated in what I would do if I had the financial resources to acquire all of the telephone numbers I would want. While getting a telephone number is not that hard – getting a particular telephone number is much trickier. Most likely, someone already owns the telephone numbers I would want, and I will literally have to buy the telephone numbers off of them. This will require involvement of an arbitrator to make sure everyone does everything the right way to get what they want. It would also mean I will have to be prepared to move the number immediately. I would choose an announcement only service to inform the callers that the number has been transferred to me, and to contact the previous owner through other means. Once I am ready, I will start the moving of my telephone numbers to the appropriate services and systems.

The most important aspect is the telephone numbers. I already have 2 of the telephone numbers noted here. All of the last 7 digits of the numbers I will want will be recognized as (my-number). This means I just have to remember the first 3 digits and which digits goes where. When referencing the number in question, I will note the type of number it is such a “Home”, or “Voicemail”. If I do have to reference a number, it will be the first 3 digits, or first 3 digits followed by (my-number). An example will be 412(my-number).

The current SIP provider will be the company I will continue to use. This service will support 4 of the 5 numbers I will have. The Home number will ring my WP825. The Fax will be handled by the SIP provider for incoming faxes. Once a fax is received, the system will convert it into a .pdf file, and email it to me. Outgoing faxes will use an ATA which the printer will plug into. Obviously, the Fax line will need its own extension to send faxes, and show the fax number instead of the home number. The Forwarder number will ring both the Cellular, and Home phone numbers at the same time. The Voicemail number will forward to a pager number. Very few people will know this is a pager number.

Then there are carriers. There will be just 3, and the goal was to have as few carriers as needed since every carrier will have their own voicemail system I will have to check. The Cell carrier will handle my iPhone, and SIP will handle the other numbers, but the 413 number will forward to the Pager.

Going throughout this site should give you an idea of what I would do, and what I can accomplish. The goal again will be to have something simplified, and easy to remember. No point in having a telephone number if you can’t remember it when it comes time to give out the number. If you should have any questions, you can feel free to [contact] me.
