ATA

I have an HP Printer which has a telephone port for fax communications. While I don’t see a need to require to have a fax line, I will take use of this feature nonetheless. However, if I could afford to get this setup, I would likely have money to have my own residence. There will be no RJ11 jacks in the walls. Simply put, RJ11 is obsolete and will just be a waste of wiring, and space which will be especially true if you may or may not know where you would need the RJ11 jacks.

The better solution will be to acquire a Grandstream HT801+ ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter). A telephone line will go from the printer to the ATA, and an ethernet line will go from the ATA to the LAN. This ATA will only be able to support 1 account, but this is sufficient as I don’t need more than 1 fax line, and my home line will be using the WP825. With that said, this will be sufficient. If there are any upgraded models of the HT801+, then I would consider that ATA.
