The Grandstream WP825 is my current home phone, and will likely remain as such for the foreseeable future. If I was to acquire all of the numbers I would wish, then I will need to use the dual account feature of the phone. The WP825 supports 2 lines coming in, but only 1 outgoing line. Simply put, there is no way to select which line I wish to call from as there is with the iPhone. SIP-1 will be my Home number. This provider will provide for unlimited calling to US, Canada, and select 50 countries which I could not find a list with that provider. The second account will be my Secondary Home line whereas my SIP Broker number points to this carrier. In addition, if I was to provide a SIP address, it will be my Secondary Home‘s SIP address that I would disclose.
This will allow me to have unlimited incoming calls with either carrier, and I will use the unlimited outgoing calling ability of my Primary Home. The Home phone number will be associated with the Primary Home line, and I will setup the Caller ID of Secondary Home as the Home‘s phone line when making an outgoing voice call. This will simplify things, and show the Home no matter which account I was to use. Again, since Primary Home is much more affordable than Secondary Home for the same level of service, it just makes sense to use the dual SIP capabilities of the WP825.
