Voicemail

There are times I may not want to receive a telephone call. There will also be times where I must receive an emergency call. From 10PM – 6AM, I am not normally available for receiving calls. When that happens, and there is an imperative issue that needs to be address, the person will dial the 413 number and leave a voicemail. What most people will not know is that this number will forward to a pager that would have voicemail capabilities. The caller will dial the 413 number, and leave a message. 5 minutes later, the pager will sound off, and show the actual pager number. I will call the pager, and access my voicemail. If there is anything imperative, I will address it immediately by calling from either the 412, or 878 numbers.

I initially was considering to have a single number for faxes, and voicemail, but there would be no way to make it work the way I would want to. This will mean a bigger investment in acquiring the numbers, and a larger annual bill for having pager services, but a cellular phone may not wake me up if I am sleeping. If you heard a pager at 2AM, you know how effective they are for getting your attention. Tenants will receive all of my telephone numbers, and the role they serve. Therefore, a tenant might call my 855 number when they want the best chance to reach me. They might send an RCS message to my 878 number, and with this system, if they need to wake me up, they will call the 413 number.
