For the rationale of this website, a carrier is a telephone service provider. In Allegheny County, Verizon no longer provide POTS telephone service to new or moving customers. That would be fine as back in 1991, prices were higher than I would have wanted, and I am sure that still holds true. I am not going to disclose the carriers by name. This is because I am paranoid about someone maybe finding out who my current carriers are. With that said, I will be identifying the carrier by the first letter of the company’s name. This is sufficient for the rationale of this site.
There will be 3 carriers. One carrier will hold about half of my telephone numbers, but will not provide any actual services in regards to telephone calls. The cellular carrier will have a lower cost for the second telephone line since that line does not require data services. The home phone line will offer unlimited calls within US, Canada, and select countries. All of the carriers will have a place in their roles. Obviously, I will have to pay for the services. With that in mind, I am choosing services and carriers that are more affordable. In example, I am choosing V as my home phone provider because C will charge more than twice that for the same level of service minus the calls outside of US and Canada. With that said, it just makes sense to use V for my home phone line, and that would eventually mean that I will have 4 voicemails to deal with.
