SIP

There will be 4 telephone numbers with this account. I currently have one of the numbers, and when I acquire all of my numbers, I will eventually transfer my 412 number to my SIP provider. The SIP provider will support my Fax, Forwarder, Home, and Voicemail phone lines. I will have the unlimited domestic plan which will allow me to make unlimited calls to the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada. While everyone’s phone number I know is within the US, this will still be a good perk.

My fax line will accept incoming faxes with eFax, but I will have to go to the website to view the .pdf file. I can then choose to download or delete the fax. For outgoing faxes, there will be a dedicated sub-account exclusively for the ATA for the fax line. This will make things simple, and I will just use the printer’s ADF to scan, and fax to the intended target.

I currently have my forwarder number, and that will remain as such. When someone calls my forwarder number, both my cellular and home phone rings. Whichever line picks up first will be the line to answer the call. Since this telephone number is a toll-free number, it will be the exception in regards to incoming call rates. This will depend on the first 3 digits of the NANP (North American Numbering Plan) telephone number to decide what to charge. A 907 telephone number for example will cost 25ยข per minute for incoming calls no matter which device I answer from.

My current 412 number is my cellular phone number. However, when I get all of my numbers, I will port this number to my Home line. When I do this, I will also port my 878 number to my Cellular line so I can get a new cellular plan within a week. For the purpose of this page, the 412 number will ring my WP825. While the port is in process, the 412 number will forward to my current home phone line. This will allow me to use the home phone as I see fit.

My 413 number will be the voicemail number. However, technically anyone calling the 413 number will forward to a pager number. The caller will leave a message, and the pager will sound off within 5 minutes of receiving the page. When that happens, I will listen to the voicemail and respond appropriately. I will change the current WHOIS information from the current voicemail number to the 413 number. I learned that scam artists will not leave voicemails, so I don’t have to worry about someone waking me up at 2AM offering to design my currently designed websites.
